Conspiracy Theory time, pt. 2

So, people obviously make this allegation all the time. But I thought it was interesting when I actually saw it happen before my eyes. As the elections got closer, gas prices went down. And literally, within a day or two after the elections, gas prices went back up. And I'm talking a jump of $2.14 the day of the election to $2.24 within a day or two after. VERY intriguing.
